{Sweet 1st Birthday: Candy & Cupcakes}

So here's the second event from this past weekend.  This time was for a beautiful little girl that turned 1!  The theme was candy and cupcakes, and let me tell you, it turned out as sweet as it can be!  This party was made in collaboration with a local balloon artist.  Read on for details!

We created a lollipop style invite inspired by the great work of The TomKat Studio!  We made our own version by layering cardstock in coordinating colors.  This one also was a hit!  ;)

Now, this amazing cake was inspired by one we found online and if I may do say, it turned out even more beautiful than the sample.  The baker behind it is an artist!

Now on to the decorations.  Balloon art as well as the fabric wall and linens was made by Johanna at Globo Arte a locally owned business.  Beautiful!

We created this sweet candy bar with lots of yummy sweets such as candy coated peanuts, gumballs, jelly beans, and of course, our marshmallow sticks. All adorned with custom made tags and polka dot ribbon.

We also created these centerpieces using clear paint jars from Oriental Trading and embellished with cupcake cardstock (font and back views).

Finally the banner with lots of colorful ribbon...

Finally, a snapshot of the Birthday Girl!

I just love how colorful and sweet everything looks!  Happy 1st Birthday Kianna!

Lots of love,

{Tea Party Baby Shower}

Ok, so I know I've said this before, but this time it's true ;)... This is the most beautiful party I've ever done!  All the detailed work along with a gorgeous theme made this baby shower my favorite so far.  It was all planned and coordinated secretly through emails and text messages! Can you believe?  And the best part is that everything came out perfect and our mom-to-be was really suprised.

For the invitation we wanted something delicate so we went with this design.  All I can say is that everyone was in love with it!

Our guests would be greeted by this darling wishing tree so they could make wishes for mom and baby Camille.  Also at the main entrance we hanged a beautiful sign just to give everyone an idea of what they would see inside!

Our main table featured a diaper cake (as a gift for mom and baby), cupcakes and cookies dipped in chocolate.  The banner was made with doilies and ribbon, just to keep up with all the doily detail.

The diaper cake was a total hit!

Cupcakes were baked by a local supplier and cookies in several colored frosting and flowers I made myself.

Since this was a tea party, tea was served along with biscuits, sandwiches and cookies.

This is the first time I've done floral arrangements for any event, and let me tell you, I'm really proud of how they turned out!  Some tables had flowers and teacups and others had pomander balls (really labor intensive but oh, so worth it!).

Finally as party favors we gave out English Tea cookies, directly from England!

Now you be de judge... Do you love it as much as I do?

Thanks for reading along!
